Identified Hadron Production in Proton-Proton Collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV with ALICE at the LHC

ALICE is a multi-purpose heavy-ion detector, which has excellent tracking and particle identification (PID) capabilities. This allows the measurement of identified particle production up to a very high transverse momentum ( $p\mathrm {_{T}}$ ). Here, we report recent measurements of ${\pi }$ , K, p,...

description ALICE is a multi-purpose heavy-ion detector, which has excellent tracking and particle identification (PID) capabilities. This allows the measurement of identified particle production up to a very high transverse momentum ( $p\mathrm {_{T}}$ ). Here, we report recent measurements of ${\pi }$ , K, p, K$^{*0}$ , ${\phi }$ , ${\Xi }$ and ${\Omega }$ in minimum bias pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = $ 13 TeV. Various particle yield ratios like K/ $\pi $ , p/ $\pi $ , K$^{*0}$ /K, $\phi $ /K, ${\Omega }$ / $\pi $ and ${\Xi }$ / $\pi $ are studied as a function of $\sqrt{s}$ to understand the energy dependence of particle production. Particle ratios such as p/ ${\pi }$ and K/ ${\pi }$ are measured as a function of $p\mathrm {_{T}}$ and the results are compared to model predictions.
