A stepping stone to this machine is a high-luminosity electron-positron collider (called FCC-ee) using the same ring with center-of-mass energies ranging from the Z pole to the tt threshold. The main goal is an extended search for physics beyond the Standard Model as well as a complete exploration of the Higgs boson and its dynamics.
