Sumario: | Since 2013, the LHCb collaboration extended its physics programme to the studyof ion collisions. Thanks to the unique tracking and PID capabilities of thedetector in the forward rapidity region, LHCb can provide important results onheavy flavour production in proton-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at LHC. Moreover,LHCb has the unique capability to operate in a fixed target configuration andstudy proton and ion-beam induced reactions on gaseous targets. In thefollowing, we report on the results and performances on open and hidden heavy-flavour hadron production in pPb and PbPb collisions, recorded in collider mode, and in pAr collisions, recorded in fixed target mode. |
