description This thesis presents a search for the resonant production of second generation sleptons ($\widetilde{\mu}_{\mathrm{L}}$, $\widetilde{\nu}_{\mu}$) in proton-proton collisions recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC. It is based on the analysis of collision data recorded in 2016 at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV. The sleptons are expected to be produced from first generation quarks via the $R$-parity violating coupling $\lambda_{211}^{\prime}$, and their decay can lead to a final state with two same-sign muons and at least two hadronic jets. No significant deviation from the standard model expectation is observed. Upper cross section limits are derived at 95% confidence level in the context of two simplified models, which correspond to the dominant $\widetilde{\mu}_{\mathrm{L}}$ and $\widetilde{\nu}_{\mu}$ decay channels yielding a same-sign dimuon signature. The exclusion limits range between 0.24 fb and 0.73 pb depending on the model and the sparticle masses. Further interpretations of the cross section limits are derived in a modified constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (cMSSM) including $R$-parity violation. Compared to previous searches for resonant slepton production, this search significantly extends the probed parameter space of the cMSSM while improving the exclusion limits in large parts of previously probed regions.
