Sumario: | Several cosmological observations hint at the existence of dark matter, whose particle nature is still unknown. The study of events with a highly energetic jet and large missing transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) plays an important role in the search for weakly interacting massive particles, which are natural dark matter candidates. The most recent results obtained by the ATLAS experiment using Run-2 data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36 fb$^{−1}$, are shown, including the projection for the expected discovery potential for the Run-3 and high-luminosity phase of the LHC. |
