This contribution provides an insight into the evolution of the system throughout Run 2 and analyses major limitations encountered in this period. Subsequently, a discussion of planned optimizations and new installations is presented. Finally, the impact of the evolution of the QPS in LS2 on future accelerator operation is evaluated.
