PARTICLE DENSITIES IN ULTRARELATIVISTIC HEAVY ION REACTIONS EXTRAPOLATED FROM PROTON NUCLEUS COLLISIONS
Rapidity density distributions in central ultra-relativistic heavy ion reactions are estimated from high energy proton-nucleus collisions and compared with some cosmic ray events. Deviations from a simple scaling of $pA$ reactions are observed.
