Violencia y transformación del habitus periodístico en Veracruz:caso Notiver (2011-2013) / Violence and the Transformation of Journalistic Habitus in Veracruz: The Case of Notiver (2011-2013)

En este artículo se pretende dar cuenta de la transformación que han tenido las prácticas periodísticas en la zona conurbada de Veracruz-Boca del Río, entre 2011 y 2013, periodo en el que fueron asesinados nueve periodistas en el estado, tan sólo en esos dos años. Se da seguimiento a los artículos publicados en la sección de nota roja del diario Notiver, donde laboraba la mayor parte de los periodistas asesinados en dicho periodo. Con el análisis realizado a estas notas, además de las entrevistas con los directivos del diario, se corrobora que hubo una transformación importante en las representaciones de la violencia en el diario, pasando de la “nota roja” a la “nota rosa”, como los mismos trabajadores del diario apuntan, así como un cambio notable en el habitus periodístico de los trabajadores. This article explores the transformation of journalistic practices in the contiguous cities of Veracruz-Boca del Río between 2011 and 2013, a period in which nine journalists were murdered in the state. The text traces articles published in the crime or “red note” section of the sensationalist newspaper Notiver, where most of the journalists killed in that period worked. Analysis of these articles, in addition to interviews conducted with the newspaper’s directors, reveals a significant transformation in the depictions of violence in the newspaper, going from the “red note” to the lighter “pink note” (as newspaper workers themselves pointed out), as well as a noticeable change in reporters’ journalistic habitus.
