Esta conferencia, a pesar de haber sido referida como uno de los escritos teóricos del movimiento de vanguardia, no ha sido estudiado con detenimiento. Tanto List Arzubide como Arqueles Vela y Manuel Maples Arce consideraban a la imagen poética y a la metáfora como elementos constitutivos del arte estridentista.
