The objective of this study was to compare two time periods to find evidence of chenge in temperatura and precipitation and, bases on the temperatura análisis, to observe the behavior of the humidity condensation band according to the IPCC. The sensitivity method was used, establiching four temperature ranges (1, 2, 4 and 6 °C), identifying the current humidity condensation height, which allowed knowing future changes. As results, an increase in temperatura of 0.47 °C and a decrease in precipitation of 133 mm in the region were found, affecting the area’s humidity condensation strip, which tends to move with an increase of 2 °C. With the probable changes, the atmospheric humidity would no longer condense in the mountain cloud forest, making its conservation and restoration necessary.

El bosque mesófilo de montaña de la sierra Otomí-Tepehua, Hidalgo ha sufrido cambios debido al cambio climático, principalmente en los parámetros temperatura y precipitación. Esto a alterado principalmente el ecosistema y sus componentes. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue comparar dos periodos de tiempo para encontrar evidencias de cambio en la temperatura y la precipitación y, a partir del análisis de la temperatura, observar el comportamiento de la franja de condensación de humedad de acuerdo al IPCC. Se utilizó el método de sensibilidad estableciendo cuatro rangos de temperatura (1, 2, 4 y 6°C), identificando la altura de condensación de humedad actual lo que permitió conocer los cambios futuros. Como resultados se encontró un aumento de temperatura de 0.47 °C y una disminución en la precipitación de 133 mm en la región, afectando la franja de condensación de humedad de la zona, que tiende a desplazarse ante un aumento de 2 °C. Con los probables cambios, la humedad atmosférica ya no condensaría en el bosque mesófilo de montaña, haciéndose necesaria su conservación y restauración.
