Proposals to revitalize small-scale fisheries and conservation of coastal ecosystems in Mexico

Seas, coasts and coastal fishing have a profound economic, social, cultural and environmental importance for the nation. For many years, particularly during the last neoliberal governments, a series of misguided policies have pushed this activity and these ecosystems into a deep crisis.
