Analysis of the association agreement between Mexico and the European Union and its impact on the flower export from 2001 to 2018

Mexico and the European Union have the Economic Association, Political Coordination and Cooperation Agreement. In some products it has been possible to reveal the advantage it has in production and consequently on export, for the flower as product the commercial position of Mexico and the European Union was determined through the calculation of various indices of Relative Trade Balance, Tradability, Export opening and Import Penetration, it was possible to reveal the advantage obtained on export.A similar commercial position was determined through the application of the indices; exports, imports and production maintained increasing behaviors in the European Union, while for Mexico, only production experienced positive variations.
