Sumario:The innovation and entrepreneurship processes within the rural agricultural areas are scarce and are not generally reported. Specially, because small farmers implement them at the local level in order to improve their processes and give continuity to their production systems, characterized by a combination of traditional and modern knowledge. The aim of this research was to document the innovation and entrepreneurship process of an artifact of amaranth producers to improve the cultural practice of sowing in the production system. The results show that innovation in the development of an artifact and its entrepreneurship applied to the cultural practice of sowing decreases physical energy expenditure, seed application, and costs of this work.
