description The objective of the study was to investigate didactic actions that the teacher-tutor performed in the deployment of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), from his understanding and experience on this methodology and the pedagogical position of the method in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics (FMVZ) of the University of Colima (UCOL). The Action Research approach was used, with ethnographic methods: focus group, non-participant observation and directed interview, with a significant sample of 10 tutors, to account for learning processes that PBL impregnated in the teaching of the profession. The results pointed out contextualized didactics of the method, where the key characters of PBL played an important role, a case/problem structure was projected, an evaluative system was conceived for this methodology and reconceptualized the teaching practice of the tutor who was constituted as a teacher whose work falls on a triple didactic responsibility of underlying pedagogical systems in the implementation of PBL.

El objetivo del estudio fue investigar acciones didácticas que el docente-tutor realizó en el despliegue del Aprendizaje Basado en Problemas (ABP), desde su comprensión y experiencia sobre esta metodología y la postura pedagógica del método en la Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia (FMVZ) de la Universidad de Colima (UCOL). Se utilizó el enfoque de Investigación-Acción, con métodos etnográficos: grupo focal, observación no participante y entrevista dirigida, con una muestra significativa de 10 tutores, para dar cuenta de procesos de aprendizaje que el ABP impregnó en la enseñanza de la profesión. Los resultados señalaron una didáctica contextualizada del método, donde jugaron un papel importante los personajes clave del ABP; se proyectó una estructura del caso/problema, se concibió un sistema evaluativo para esta metodología y se reconceptualizó la práctica docente del tutor, quien se constituyó como profesor, cuya labor recae en una triple responsabilidad didáctica de sistemas pedagógicos subyacentes en la implementación del ABP.
