Claudia Peña Claros: a slow poetic in a fast world

This work analyzes the construction of a poetics of slowness in the book of stories Los árboles of Claudia Peña taking into account three features: description, detail and verbal enjoyment from the rhythm. Against the grain of a world afflicted by speed, this writing slows down the time to prioritize the process of each action instead of its place in the narrative sequence and the difficulty of the characters to elaborate what happens to them before their concrete relationships or their finished profiles. It begins with a description of resources, to reach an authorial position of resistance and commitment to the language of the living in its multiplicity.
