description The objective of the work is the hydrodynamic analysis of a duct laying vessel, type S. The analysis was made for the conditions of the Gulf of Mexico, considering a laying under the conditions of this sea. The work was carried out with numerical models, examining the boat in different points of the same one. In accordance with the pre-established characteristics, in each of the analysis points, the ship's speed ranges and different incident angles were evaluated. Taking as a basis the partition in each of the points, that RAO (Amplitude Response Operators by its acronym in English), which is called the response of the duct laying vessel, subject to a level of unit amplitude, in the domain of frequency. Obtaining it made it possible to estimate the response of the vessel to the situation in accordance with the environmental conditions of the Gulf of Mexico.

El objetivo del presente trabajo es el análisis hidrodinámico de una embarcación de tendido de ductos, de tipo S. El análisis se realizó para condiciones del Golfo de México, considerando un tendido bajo las condiciones de este mar. El trabajo se realizó con modelos numéricos, examinando la embarcación en diferentes puntos de la misma. De acuerdo con las características preestablecidas, en cada uno de los puntos de análisis se valoraron rangos de velocidades de la embarcación y diferentes ángulos de incidencia.
