Multidimensional gender perspectives

Gender as an analytical category provides new perspectives for social research and allows us to separate gender violence from other types of violence, something that enables the identification of specific motivations for this type of violence. The present article seeks to investigate the gender questions under the perspective of Edgar Morin's complex anthropology. Based on a bibliographic review, the analysis of the genesis of gender violence is carried out with the intention of investigating how gender is constructed from complex and multidimensional relationships and highlighting the need to question social and scientific paradigms always from a multidimensional perspective. The analysis of the article supports the conclusion that the complex thought offers theoretical support that can expand research on gender theories.
