description University Social Responsibility (USR) has become an ally in competitiveness issues in Higher Education Institutions. Its success lies in the definition of strategic planning from the perspective of social responsibility, that is, from the identification of the institution as part of a system in which the actions carried out generate an impact, both internally and externally, in social, economic and environmental terms. In this sense, universities must develop strategies that derive from their business philosophy and show the existing social commitment with each of the stakeholders, including the environment, creating value in the activities carried out.

In this sense, universities must develop strategies that derive from their business philosophy and show the existing social commitment with each of the stakeholders, including the environment, creating value in the activities carried out. La Responsabilidad Social Universitaria (RSU) se ha convertido en una aliada en temas de competitividad en las Instituciones de Educación Superior. Su éxito radica en la definición de la planeación estratégica desde la óptica de la responsabilidad social, es decir, desde la identificación de la institución como parte de un sistema en el que las acciones realizadas generan un impacto, tanto al interior como al exterior, en términos sociales, económicos y ambientales. En este sentido, las universidades deben desarrollar estrategias que deriven de su filosofía empresarial y pongan de manifiesto el compromiso social existente con cada uno de los grupos de interés, incluyendo el ambiente, creando valor en las actividades realizadas.
