The Environmental Engineering: Its Application and Process Management for the Prevention and Control of Natural Resources.

Environmental engineering plays a crucial role in understanding and regulating the ecosystem and how living beings interact with their environment. Its challenge lies in designing tools and methods to address environmental issues, preserve natural resources, and promote sustainable economic and social development. This work examines global hazards and the environmental crisis in Colombia and Latin America, highlighting recent research from 2017 to 2022. It explores methodologies, environmental education programs, principles, analyses of human and organizational behavior, and the role of education in resolving the environmental crisis. It advocates for the adoption of new development models and standards to ensure sustainability, with a focus on an integrated awareness to reduce environmental damage. In Colombia, environmental engineering is focused on promoting social development, protecting the environment, and benefiting society, based on the national constitution, international laws, and a growing collective consciousness that seeks behavioral changes, respect, and sustainability in harmony with nature.
