Collective action has undergone many changes in recent years. Namely: the social movements that emerge throughout these pages are not classical in the manner conceived by Alain Touraine, Charles Tilly or diverse authors such as Boaventura de Souza, to mention a few, but rather it is about resistance of collectives, networks, etc. We believe that this book provides an overview of the extremely complex context in which a variety of social actors are still struggling to improve their living conditions, to enforce respect for human rights and, above all, to stop both neo-extractivist projects and acute social decomposition.
