Carlos Fuentes y los horizontes de la traducción literaria

This book was born as a product of the academic, dissemination and liaison activities of the Carlos Fuentes Inter-American Chair, which arose at the Universidad Veracruzana from the need to continue building platforms for analysis, reflection, dissemination of culture and literary creation. Within this space, translation was imposed as a theoretical problem and a professional exercise, based on the idea that the translator's work goes hand in hand with that of creation in its multiple possibilities. It is, at the same time, a tribute to Carlos Fuentes and his translators: a tribute to Fuentes because the common thread of the collected articles is the study of the translations of his works into different languages, for example, into English, French, Romanian, Serbian or Hungarian; a tribute to Fuentes' translators because he was never on the sidelines of the implications of their work, sometimes supervising and sometimes rewriting his work as the difficulties of translation demanded it.
