description In the present time we are living in, and as a result of a declining rationality, philosophical reflection seems trapped in a dead end in which it has little luck when it comes to establishing proposals from which to face a postmodern condition in which the task of thinking seems to have a short critical path. In this way, and as a result of an unfortunate simplification of contributions such as weak thought  or deconstruction, a theoretical context has been generated that, at least as a hypothesis, could be considered to suffer from a syndrome of sterile thinking. In this way, a review of the symptoms of this syndrome is presented, focused on the phenomena of mass society (physical and virtual), the uncritical submission to technoscience and self-exploitation as a style of inauthentic existence, so that they can be propose some measures that promote a way out of the labyrinth constituted by sterile thought, which could go through a rescue of critical theory or the Heideggerian idea of thinking, both oriented towards the claim of an experiential rationality.
