Este ensayo examina las aportaciones que Jacques Galinier formula en torno al concepto de lo “arcaico” en Mesoamérica. El análisis revisa sus contribuciones en los campos de la antropología y el psicoanálisis, construidas a partir de los registros etnográficos que por largo años Galinier ha realizado entre los otomíes. Las reflexiones se orientan con un sentido crítico en el marco del debate que la noción de lo “arcaico” ha propiciado en el pensamiento antropológico.The Notion of the “Archaic” in Mesoamerican Ethnology (Annotations on the Reflections of Jacques Galinier)This essay reviews the contributions that Jacques Galinier formulates around the concept of “archaic” in Mesoamerica. The analysis appraises his contributions in the fields of anthropology and psychoanalysis, built from the ethnographic register made over many years by Galinier among the Otomies.
