Within the scope of the Standard Model of Internal Control and through an analysis of participation in administrative continuity plans, this paper offers a general panorama of the implementation of this program in the Bogota administrative district. Desde 1986, la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación la Ciencia y la Cultura – UNESCO, a través de los estudios RAMP (Records and Archives Management Programe) incorporó como uno de los elementos del Programa de Gestión de Documentos el Subprograma de Gestión de Documentos Vitales (o Esenciales), cuyo objetivo es garantizar la protección de la información y los documentos en casos de desastres de forma que se asegurara la continuidad de las funciones administrativas; el presente estudio, ofrece un panorama general acerca del estado de la implementación de dicho programa en la administración distrital de Bogotá, a partir del análisis de la participación de los archivos y archivistas del Distrito en los planes de continuidad del negocio de sus entidades, a partir de la aplicación del Modelo Estándar de Control Interno.
