Sumario: | THIS DOCUMENT CONSIST ESSENTIALLY OF FIVE PARTS. IN THE FIRST PART, THE ANTECEDENTS AND PRINCIPAL CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION ARE STUDIED. THE TECHNICAL OPTION OF LIBRARY SCIENCE IS LOCATED AT THIS LEVEL OF EDUCATION. THE SECOND PART ANALYZES THE PROPOSALS OF THE NATIONAL COLLEGE OF LIBRARIANS (COLEGIO NACIONAL DE BIBLIOTECARIOS) CONCERNING THE TECHNICAL OPTION IN LIBRARY SCIENCE. THESE PROPOSALS SERVE, IN SOME WAYS, AS MODELS FOR THE DE SIGN OF NEW PROGRAMS AS WELL AS THE RESTRUCTURING OF OTHERS.THE THIRD PART DESCRIBES AND ANALYZES THE MOST IMPORTANT CONCEPTS OF THE VARIOUS PLANS OF STUDY THAT CURRENTLY EXIST IN THE TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOLS OF OUR COUNTRY, AS WELL AS A PROJECT PROPOSED FOR THE STATE OF TABASCO, NOTING THE SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN EACH ONE OF THEM. THE FOURTH PART PRESENTS A GENERAL OVER VIEW OF THE JOB MARKET AND FUTURE EMPLOYMENT PERSPECTIVES FOR GRADUATES OF THE TECHNICAL OPTION IN LIBRARY SCIENCE. IT INCLUDES THE STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF A SURVEY TAKEN OF THE EMPLOYEES OF THE LIBRARY CENTERS THAT ARE CONSIDERED THE LARGEST EMPLOYERS OF LIBRARY PERSONNEL. FINALLY, THE FIFTH PART CONTAINS GENERAL OBSERVATIONS, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS, IN WHICH IS CLEARLY SEEN THE NEED TO RESTRUCTURE CAREFULLY THE PLANS AND PROGRAMS OF STUDY OF THIS TECHNICAL OPTION. |
