MAIN RESEARCH RESULTS SHOW THAT CURRICULA INTEGRATE HUMANISTIC AND SOCIOLOGICAL WITH TECHNOLOGICAL TRENDS. EL ARTÍCULO PRESENTA LOS RESULTADOS DE UNA ESTANCIA DE INVESTIGACIÓN REALIZADA EN EL CENTRO UNIVERSITARIO DE INVESTIGACIONES BIBLIOTECOLÓGICAS DE LA UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL AUTÓNOMA DE MÉXICO (CUIB-UNAM). SE ANA­LIZAN LAS TENDENCIAS PROYECTADAS PARA LA EDUCACIÓN SU­PERIOR DEL SIGLO XXI Y SU INCORPORACIÓN EN EL CURRÍCULO DE LAS ESCUELAS DE BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA, ARCHIVOLOGÍA Y CIEN­CIA DE LA INFORMACIÓN DE MÉXICO Y VENEZUELA. UTILI­ZANDO LOS MÉTODOS DEDUCTIVO Y COMPARATIVO, SE ELABO­RARON CATEGORÍAS DE ANÁLISIS Y PROPIEDADES QUE FUERON EMPLEADAS COMO REFERENTES PARA VERIFICAR LA INCLUSIÓN DE LAS TENDENCIAS EN OCHO DISEÑOS CURRICULARES: DOS DE VENEZUELA Y SEIS DE MÉXICO. LOS PRINCIPALES RESULTADOS SEÑALAN QUE EN LOS DISEÑOS PREVALECEN CONCEPCIONES QUE RESPONDEN A MODELOS CURRICULARES DONDE SE MEZ­CLAN IDEAS QUE VAN DE LO HUMANÍSTICO Y SOCIOLÓGICO HAS­TA  LO TECNOLÓGICO. EN CUANTO A LA FUNDAMENTACIÓN DE LA CARRERA, SE APRECIA UNA FUERTE TENDENCIA A MANTENER LAS VISIONES TÉCNICO-ADMINISTRATIVAS DE LA DISCIPLINA Y LA PROFESIÓN; LAS ESCUELAS NO HAN INCORPORADO EL ENFOQUE DE COMPETENCIAS; DEL TOTAL DE LAS ESCUELAS ESTUDIADAS SÓLO DOS HAN SIDO EVALUADAS POR LOS COMITÉS INSTITUCIONALES DE EVALUACIÓN DE LA EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR , PROCESOS DE PENSAMIENTO EN SU CURRÍCULO. INSTITUCIO­(CIEES)Y SÓLO UNA DE ELLAS HA INCORPORADO EL ESTUDIO DE LOS PROCESOS DE PENSAMIENTO EN SU CURRÍCULO.
