Sumario: | This paper examines the obsolescence of literature produced on Lotka’s law up to 2010, over which time no definitive pattern of obsolescence is discernible. Cumulative data since then, however, shows a pattern of obsolescence at an annual rate of decrease of 9%, with a duplication rate of 17.4 years. These statistics indicate a good fit with the exponential model, with an R2 of 0.985 at asignificance level of 0.01. |
