Sumario:The public state universities from México have as one of their substantive functions research, which is regularly measured with scientific production. The aim of the present study was to carry out a historical analysis of the scientific production of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH). A systematic review was carried out in the Scopus database, where the documents produced by UACH researchers were analyzed. The number of documents was analyzed, to which faculty the researcher is assigned, type of collaboration and number of citations. Results indicate that at the date of the review 1157 documents signed by at least one UACH researcher had been published, 10.1% was local collaboration, 54.0% national and 33.4% international. Number of citations per document was 6.9. The most productive faculties have been Chemical Sciences and Zootechnology and Ecology. Although in recent years there has been an increase in scientific production by UACH researchers, it is still far from the most productive universities in the country.
