Sumario:The quantitative and qualitative paradigms are used by millions of researchers, but the level of confidence deposited in each one of them it is not known. The aim of the bibliometric article is to study the grounded theory versus the structural equations modeling in order to determine in which of the two methodologies the scientific community relies the most. Through descriptive and regression statistics, the most relevant findings are that, although the scientific community relies slightly more on the quantitative than on the qualitative paradigm, this situation would tend to revert by 2022, taking a turn towards the qualitative one.
