Sumario:This article is part of the research ICT uses and appropriation in qualitative research practices and formative research processes in higher education. What is here presented is the result of the first stage of the process, which refers to the reviewing of literature on the theme: the epistemological, methodological and practical aspects of the technological mediation in qualitative research. The aim of this is to expose what was founding the literature about perspectives, discussions and experiences about the uses of ICT and the specialized software type CAQDAS in qualitative research practices. The analysis is part of a characterization of the compiled bibliographic production, which focus aspects such as frequency of publication, authors, languages, themes and other matters. The more significative findings reveal poor reference to the use of ICT in the initial phases of research processes, being the most recurred to the bibliographical administrators. Tools type CAQDAS are still used, above all for the analysis of data phases; specific uses are a few and they are a few and they are identified for activities as revision of literature leading to construction of states of the art, or focused to support the design of the research.
