Sumario:The objective of this research is to identify the thematic categories of the messages on Twitter published by some of the diplomatic representatives of Mexico and the United States, in order to interpret the background of their agendas and speeches through their words and phrases. Through a descriptive method, which allows to identify the relevant properties, units and lexical compounds, a classificatory level of depth is implemented. The results show that those categories that stand out for their constant frequency are the pandemic, vaccines, diplomatic meetings and the international conflicts among Russia, Ukraine and the United States. Regarding the messages issued by Mexico, its interests, and political relations with the Latin American and Caribbean states, as well as foreign investments, are evident; while US diplomatic accounts continuously express disagreement about the border tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
