Sumario:The development of joint projects involving libraries, archives and museums –the LAM institutions– is appearing more frequently in the literature. This text summarizes the common elements and differences between the three corresponding disciplines as well as with Information Science, and intends to establish, from a theoretical-practical basis, how far collaboration or convergence of the concerned institutions in cross-cutting information services projects can be developed, including some methodological elements for the design and construction of such projects.
