Sumario:The legitimate concern of current governments is to control the information generated by the institutions that represent them. This research proposes a methodology to implement archival audits in those work spaces where information flows daily. It is concluded that by carrying out this work there will be a better functioning of both the institutional systems and the information they generate. To ensure the above, a methodology composed of three elements is proposed: a) Analysis of information flows based on the generation of archival information as a result of institutional functions, b) Review of the correct application of records management and, c) Metric study that determines the use and social impact of archival information. The method used is based on an analytical-reflexive process that will be the prelude to future studies.
