Sumario:The present survey contains the results of a study with a quantitative approach, a descriptive scope and a cross-section; It was carried out with the aim of identifying internal communication in companies in the south of Veracruz during the COVID-19 pandemic. The main results indicate that internal communication during the health contingency was adequate; In addition, companies use channels that meet the communication needs between employees and managers. The average valuation for large-sized companies was 3.84, while for companies in the industrial sector it was 3.92; these companies achieve the highest average valuations according to the scale used in the present investigation. However, communication barriers have been observed that companies must overcome to avoid information distortions and achieve effective communication. These results provide useful information to strengthen knowledge regarding organizational communication strategies used in times of pandemic
