description In the second half of the 19th century, Spain marked by anarchist and anarcho-syndicalist ideologies. While, Marxism only became relevant after 1871, the year in which the works of Marx and the Communist International began to spread. The publication of the work The Communist Manifesto and other Marxist content added to the creation of the first socialist front, led by Pablo Iglesias, was a first step towards the formation of socialist and communist parties. A second stage of penetration of Marxism in Spain explained by the experience of the Russian Revolution (1917) and the predominance of the line of the Third Communist International. At this juncture and from two fronts, the PSOE and the PCE, due to the level of understanding and interpretation of Marxist ideology and the international influence of Russia, Germany and Italy, several parties with a socialist and communist orientation emerged.
