Sumario:From the perspective of compliance with the 2030 agenda, the Food and Nutritional Security Observatory of the Universidad Veracruzana incorporates into its database indicators of Goals 1. End of poverty, 2. Zero hunger, 3. Health and well-being, 6. Clean water and sanitation and 12. Responsible production and consumption. Data from 15 indicators were analyzed at the municipal and state level for which information is available and updated. It was found that the poverty situation has worsened in the period from 2015 to 2020 and that the situation of extreme poverty coexists with a high prevalence of food and nutritional insecurity, as well as obesity. In addition, the lack of basic services (piped water and drainage) persists in some municipalities, a basic and primordial element for food and nutritional security. Likewise, the lack of adequate solid waste collection and treatment service is identified, which undoubtedly impact on unhealthy environments. It is necessary to highlight the need for focused and multisectoral attention at the municipal level to address the determinants and problems associated with food and nutritional insecurity.
