System of Indicators of the Gender Equality Observatory of the Veracruzana University OIGUV

The Gender Equality Observatory of the Veracruzana University (OIGUV) aims to generate, systematize and publicize information on lags and advances in gender equality at the university, based on the monitoring of statics disaggregated by sex and indicators of gender on the situation of the student, academic and administrative community policies and practices with a gender perspective. For this, a system of basic indicators was designed, from which a global index of equality is built, and additional indicators (such as gender gaps and indicators of concentration, distribution and feminization/masculinization). The system is made up of dimensions and areas of (in)equality, axes of discrimination (sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age and disability), subjects of study (academic, administrative, authorities, student and graduate population) and units of measurement (entity, dependency, UVI headquarters, regions, academic areas and university as a whole).
