Sumario:Feline sporotrichosis is a zoonotic mycosis caused by fungi belonging to the Sporothrix schenckii complex. In the state of Ceará, there are no reports of isolation of this fungus in cats. This study presents the first report of feline sporotrichosis caused by the species Sporothrix brasiliensis in the state of Ceará - Brazil. The diagnosis was made through cytopathological examination, mycological culture and PCR. The findings were compatible with feline sporotrichosis caused by Sporothrix brasiliensis.
