The genome sequence of the spiny starfish, Marthasterias glacialis (Linnaeus, 1758)

We present a genome assembly from an individual Marthasterias glacialis (the spiny starfish; Echinodermata; Asteroidea; Forcipulatida; Asteriidae). The genome sequence is 521 megabases in span. The majority of the assembly, 99.44%, is scaffolded into 22 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial...

Sumario:We present a genome assembly from an individual Marthasterias glacialis (the spiny starfish; Echinodermata; Asteroidea; Forcipulatida; Asteriidae). The genome sequence is 521 megabases in span. The majority of the assembly, 99.44%, is scaffolded into 22 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, and is 16 kb in span.
