The pulmonary complications of infective endocarditis include pulmonary embolism, empyema, pleural effusion, lung abscess, and, in rare cases, pneumothorax. We present a case of bilateral pneumatoceles mimicking vanishing lung syndrome, a very rare pulmonary complication of right-sided infective endocarditis. |
