Sumario:The growing interest of the United States, China, and the Russian Federation in Africa in recent years seems completely understandable. The natural resources of the Dark Continent and the high rates of economic growth of a number of African countries cannot but attract the attention of Moscow, Beijing, and Washington. The three great powers reasonably believe that the place and the role of their countries in the international arena will largely be determined by the ability to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with the leading regions of the planet, including the African continent. Currently, Russia’s influence in Africa is significantly inferior to the American and Chinese presence on the continent, but in recent years Moscow has been making considerable efforts to restore the positions there that it had during the Cold War.
