Sumario: | Misidentification of intestinal parasites, especially worm infections, is major cause of diarrhea, nutritional anemia, and weight loss. Neglecting diarrhea as irritable bowel disease is common in our community, especially in adult patients after the exclusion of many GIT diseases. In poor sanitary conditions, continuous screening of intestinal parasites with well‐trained lab specialists is crucial with empirical worm treatment in patients with worm symptoms. |
