Sumario:Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has inflicted significant mortality and morbidity worldwide since the virus was first detected towards the end of 2019. Though it primarily affects the respiratory system, COVID-19 has been shown to have a multisystem effect. There have been literature on liver injury associated with COVID-19 in general but liver injury specific to certain risk and age groups needs to be looked into. Thus, we aim to discuss the liver injury associated with COVID-19 in various age and risk groups and revisit pathophysiology, biochemical markers and their correlation with outcomes, and current management recommendations.
