First person – Lara Cantarero

First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Biology Open, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Lara Cantarero is first author on ‘ Differential effects of mendelian GDAP1 clinical variants on mitochondria-lysosome membrane contacts sites’, published in BiO. Lara is a postdoc in the Neurogenetics and Molecular Medicine lab of Dr Francesc Palau and Dr Janet Hoenicka at Sant Joan de Déu Research Institute (IRSJD), Barcelona, Spain, investigating the pathophysiology of peripheral neuropathies and new therapeutic targets.
