description Perioperative dysglycemia is associated with adverse outcomes in both cardiac and non-cardiac surgical patients. This review endeavors to summarize existing literature on perioperative dysglycemia and provides updates on pharmacotherapy and management of perioperative hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia in surgical patients.
