Natural co-infection of fowl adenovirus type E-8b and avian hepatitis E virus in parental layer breeders in Hebei, China
• Co-infection of fowl adenovirus (FAdV) and avian hepatitis E virus (aHEV) was observed in layer breeders. • All three main genes of FAdV isolate share high homology with the E-8b type. • ORF2 from aHEV showed homology with VaHEV strain from Hy-line LCFs in China.
