Sumario:The current century experienced many disasters affecting the human-being existence. Malaria and new corona virus (COVID-19) are two deadly infections according to the world health organization (WHO). Different types of drugs were used for their treatment, for example quinoline-based drugs. The determination of these compounds in human body or pharmaceutical tablets is crucial for assessing the quality assurance during its manufacture, also for the medication trials. This review provides the current spectrophotometric and electroanalytical methods utilized for the determination of quinoline-associated compounds, such as chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, quinine, mefloquine, piperaquine, primaquine and amodiaquine.
