Sumario: | INTRODUCTION: Mid line neck swellings are common in paediatric as well as in adults. They can be of three categories; inflammatory, neoplastic, and congenital. CASE PRESENTATION: A child with history of a nodular swelling over the anterior midline neck, its unusual diagnosis and its management has been discussed here. Clinical examination with preoperative work-up will help to differentiate such lesions, in planning subsequent surgical intervention and hence avoiding iatrogenic damage to the thyroid gland.
