High‐Efficiency and Stable Long‐Persistent Luminescence from Undoped Cesium Cadmium Chlorine Crystals Induced by Intrinsic Point Defects (Adv. Sci. 15/2023)

Application of Long‐Persistent Luminescence Materials In article number 2207331 by Zhifeng Shi and co‐workers, a novel metal‐halide single crystal inorganic cesium cadmium chlorine (CsCdCl(3)) is reported, which displays a long‐persistent luminescence with a long duration of 6000 s. The diagram abov...

Sumario:Application of Long‐Persistent Luminescence Materials In article number 2207331 by Zhifeng Shi and co‐workers, a novel metal‐halide single crystal inorganic cesium cadmium chlorine (CsCdCl(3)) is reported, which displays a long‐persistent luminescence with a long duration of 6000 s. The diagram above vividly depicts that the inherent defects of CsCdCl(3) crystals act as energy traps to trap and store electrons, resulting in the long‐persistent luminescence. [Image: see text]
