The sperm centrioles of Drosophila melanogaster undergo dramatic remodeling, during which most known centriolar proteins are lost. Here, we find that IgG antibodies unexpectedly label Drosophila melanogaster spermatozoan centrioles . This labeling offers a simple method for marking the spermatozoan centriole, though it may interfere with testing new anti-centriolar antibodies using immunofluorescence. |
